Documenting and honouring the creative work and wisdom of children has got to be my favourite thing ever. I have had some incredible opportunities over the years to collaborate with classroom teachers, lead units of study, gather the children's work on a subject and compile it into full colour, professionally published books.

Literally -- Sparkles everywhere. Although that alone could pretty much sum it all up, I have to say my first Moss St Paint-In was really, really fun. All the happy people came to make a heart with me, and hang it up to blow in the wind. It was beautiful. Thank you.

Shyness and Bloom Art Studio is led by artist and educator Rachel Boult.
Rachel holds two degrees, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria with a major in Creative Writing, and a Bachelor of Education with a specialization in Expressive Arts from UBC. With over ten years of childcare experience, Rachel is a children’s author and illustrator, painter and continual creator.
