Handmade Toys

 

Well, I guess it's official. Shyness and Bloom has switched gears. Due to all my energy going towards teaching and book making, I am not selling toys through my website any more. I will likely still grace the Christmas Craft fair scene in Victoria, where you will be able to find my handmade toys and books and mobiles. But for now, why not go check out my art classes page, or the books page?!!

**All these toys are made by hand. Because of the small parts, the little creatures are not recommended for children under the age of three (or anyone else who would like to put them in their mouths). I use recycled super soft sweaters, and brand new polyester filling. I also use safety eyes, but still wouldn't want a dog or child chewing on them for fear of swallowing the small parts.

 

Alphabet Blocks

These blocks and boxes are made from scratch here in Victoria, B.C. Each block is unique with it's own combination of colourful patterns, and both upper and lower case stylized letters. Coated in a non-toxic acrylic varnish, these blocks are both durable and decorative. The box is built with a sliding wood lid, and fits 27 blocks. There is one extra wild card block with the full alphabet set. Heirloom quality!!!!! $100
