I thought that M and H were enjoying the masks, that is, until they began their piggy banks.
H started with wanting to make a lightening bolt, and M started with a tree. As H and M were sketching their initial ideas, H looked for ways to make his lightning bolt bigger.

“Can I use those pinecones for a moment so I don’t need to trace?” -H
M drew a huge tree and in it, H saw a shape that reminded him of a fishbowl.

“That reminds me of a goldfish bowl!” -H
He then took that idea for his own and discarded his lightning bolt idea in favour of the new fish bowl one.

Seconds after H’s breakthrough, M saw that he had not only drawn a tree, but his shape was also that of a rocket! His excitement over this discovery was huge.

“Hey I know what I made! A rocket!! We can make windows out of plastic, so I can see how much money I earned!” -M

As the boys were painting their piggy banks, H was thinking about his fish bowl, and he asked,
“When did they start taming fish?” -H

They also began to dream about a new project. Building a marble track.

“Jeez, I’m blasting with excitement! I can’t wait to get this finished!” -M

When you have brothers working together on something they are both happy and excited about, you get to witness the subtle but powerful bond of brotherly love. The boys worked together to finish painting the drill piggy bank.
“M, I paint one side, you paint the other side, and when we’re all done we paint this part together.” -H
