This April, a lovely group of 10 girls came to the studio to celebrate a very special girl's 11th Birthday. When they first booked the party, she was open to ideas so I suggested a few and the one she liked the most was the idea of making a mobile. Each girl made a beautifully sparkling dangler for the mobile that the birthday girl got to take home.
They sifted through jewels and beads and crystals and sparkles and old jewelery, and attached their baubles to round wooden rings with wire and nylon string, and eventually the most beautiful, colourful and sparkling mobile emerged. It looked like a chandelier!
When the girls finished their danglers, they moved onto making themselves rings and earrings and magnets with the wonderful spread of glittery treasure.
What a great party!
